Nomi App

Nomi App

The Nomi App was a concept designed to increase the functionality of a new facial recognition technology. The original business development idea was to use the facial recognition to simply exchange contact information as a contact-free 'Bump'. I worked from research of previous technologies, existing applications and user forums to change the function of the Nomi App to serve as a passive check-in and event-based social networking forum. Users can create multiple profiles with varying security and status tag lines. Walking past cameras at specific events automatically checks attendees in, allowing others to contact them or to enroll participants in promotions. The alternate profiles and tag lines can serve as business advertising, networking tools, and social introductions or conversely as a tool to opt out of recognition. Monetary opportunities include standard advertising, large event partnerships, and app add-ons for augmented reality avatars.
