Restaurant One is a re-skinned version of an app originally designed for a large entertainment company's classic Californian restaurant property. It was intended to allow diners to customize their menu options based on restrictions due to allergies and/or dietary preferences, see substitutions, customize chosen items, view nutritional information and make orders. Working from just a paper menu, I created a visual comp of the menu screen and a prototype in Axure. After iterative versioning with the client we worked back to user flows and a full wireframes before completing visual design. Challenges arose due to the addition of nutritional charts, additional menus and lack of accurate content/databases. After 9 months of design, development and testing, the project was shelved and I worked off-schedule to reskin the app for future use.
